Welcome to our School Council page. Our aim is to improve and develop our school. We want to make our school a place where each child has a voice and their opinions and suggestions are heard.
Each class from Year 1 up has two school council representatives. Here are the representatives for 2020-2021.
This is what we have been up to so far this year ✨
Autumn term 2020
Roles and responsibilities were decided by members.
We supported Mr Gooding with our thoughts and opinions on the ‘Pupil Questionnaire’. We analyzed the data and looked at the areas pupils felt they needed more support on.
Our head boy and girl set a challenge to the rest of the school to name our ‘Rights Mascot’ in assembly. We had lots of lovely ideas that we discussed and debated. The winning name was ‘Buzz’!
Spring and Summer 2021
We’ve had several virtual meetings this year. Our wonderful school being closed has proven tricky but we are still looking to make an impact where we can!
Our Year 6 members supported Mrs Nangalia and Mr Roe by designing our new outdoor bins.
We have also supported Mrs Nangalia by completing a Rights Respecting Schools audit in our classes. Looking at displays and class charters.
